Rockstar Game Studios Reveal Their Intentions of Using Virtual Reality In Grand Theft Auto

In terms of virtual reality (VR) content creation, the video game industry has long been an evident contender. However, while the development of the VR community has been driven by smaller developers and established game developers that specialize in making one-off games for VR, major video game studios have not followed suit. 

Virtual reality (VR) has gone from a minor player in the VR industry to a bigger player, as it now has a million different headsets worldwide.  Oculus Quest’s success in introducing stand-alone VR to the industry has the potential to increase the interest and competitiveness of the video game industry. Rockstar Games is searching for new team members to join the studio, which is working on a “open world AAA VR project” with Video Games Deluxe, which also worked on L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files. No one knows what the finished product will be, but earlier predictions have indicated that it may be a virtual reality edition of Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5).
